Kamikaze - Half Vision

Kamikaze unveils a single who perfectly matches the pixel-soul and glitch-pop attribute given to their last EP. Half Vision is a technicolor song against life lived in monochrome. It’s a blame song on human incapacity to read between the lines. It draws the thin mark between the half full and half empty glass. The song’s chords first came out from an old midified Juno-60 synth playing computer generated notes. A beautiful random riff, caught and tamed, became the main chordal structure of the song. Add a laid back Hoefner bass, enormous drums and deep soothing voices and you get the whole picture. The videoclip, directed by Marie-Elsa Sgualdo and produced by the city of La-Chaux-de-Fonds, is a dark lo-fi short movie. Shot at night inside the city’s abandoned slaughterhouse , the movie is hypnotic, beautiful and frightening at the same time.
